IHC Summer Field School Programs

The Initiative for Heritage Conservation, Greece, in striving to achieve its mission by fostering research and good practices in heritage management, offers many opportunities for learning new skills or developing the skills and knowledge you may already have.

Our field school programs are designed for students new to a respective field, but also for professionals already in a field who wish to pursue research, training and professional development.

We have a lot to offer! Explore the IHC today and don’t miss out on an opportunity to join in helping us further our mission by participating in our field school programs and projects.

Courses take place in the historic town of Elefsina, just outside Athens.

Summer field school programs and projects offered this summer are:

1. Digital Tools for Heritage Management: 3D Laser Scanning and Photogrammetry (29 May – 24 June 2016)
2. An Introduction to Heritage Management (28 May – 24 June 2016)
3. Engaging local communities in heritage asset management through archaeological ethnography (26 June – 22 July 2016)
4. Heritage Interpretation: Studying, learning from and creating unique visitor experiences from heritage (June 2017)
